In Albania with Rosa
More coffee and a nice reading position!
A week in Albania, and a week to go
We rented a car at Tirana airport (insta Brix_rental.car21), a big recommendation!
First 2 nights in Elbasan, positive surprise, lively city at night and very affordable.
Hot when it is so luckily we found restaurants & pool Balla, 600lek and you got to spend the day at the pool
We stayed inside the castle at the Real Scampis Hotel, I recommend it!
On the way we stopped in a little village called Lin, super cute! And I guess the story goes that it’s the oldest town in Europe to have been inhabited.
Next 2 nights in Pogradec on the shores of Lake Ohrid. A very affordable place!
We also visited Drilon and the village of Tushemist. The magnificent sunrises were particularly memorable.
The hotel was a bit too big for our taste (Hotel Enkelana) and we chose it because of the location and the gym. There was nothing wrong with the hotel itself, I just like smaller ones.
One night stopover in Korcë, another night would have been nice to see more.
Our accommodation was super!!! Meri Butique Hotel. Definitely go there if you are in Korcë. Cheap food/drink. Kinda missed many of the bazaars being open as they were not open in the afternoon/evening and not in the morning
One night’s accommodation “on the farm” Farma Sotira
super friendly staff here too, great food! We stayed among the animals and the 3h horseback ride topped it all off! Go!!!
2 nights in Lukovë, where we are at the moment. A great seaside town!
Hotel Itaka Lukovë, recommendation, swimming pool and spectacular sunsets.
So far, everywhere has been super friendly people
and everything has been really affordable! Our third time in Albania, first time in these places.
The journey continues to Vlorë and Berat.
